I am very fond of the piccolo, and have used it twice so far. I plan to use it much more. It appears in the following piece of mine:

MOYS ICOS, for orchestra, call for a separate piccolo part.

THE RECOGNITIONS, for orchestra, calls for both of its flute players to play piccolos.
